THANK the Struggle

What is in your way right now? What is keeping you from achieving your fitness goals? Is it money? Schedule? Life demands?
Now ask yourself if this roadblock is real, and as powerful as you let it be?
On more than one occasion over the past few years, I've had external factors place definite roadblocks in my way to achieving my visions for helping others succeed. Each time, I've gone through a similar cycle of: disbelief, anger, frustration, sadness, letting go, brainstorming alternatives, and then . . . and then . . . the clouds in my mind parted and I saw things clearly again.
Specifically, what I could see was that my vision was now different: better somehow, more developed, closer to my heart.
Next time you feel like cursing the struggle, the trouble, the roadblock . . . consider thanking it instead. For isn’t it the act of struggling that spurred you into action?
As I reflect on some of the challenges I've experienced over the past 4-5 years, I wonder how I could be anything but exceptionally grateful that they have put me where I am today . . . in a much better place than where I was when the struggle began.
