Strong and Happy: your Ultimate Power
The world has a tendency to fill our heads with nonsense.
The world has a tendency to tell us who it thinks we should be.
The world tells us we need to be:
desirable
wealthy
in control
perfect
The world preys on our fears of:
rejection
loneliness
being ostracized
being insufficient
And yet ... what does the world fear more than anything?
The world fears you
thinking for yourself
having your own definition of success
valuing something other than what can be bought and sold
The world fears your strength.
And even more than strength alone, the world fears you being STRONG and HAPPY.
Why?
Because a person who is strong and happy ... who knows who she is ... cannot be manipulated.
A person who is strong and happy ... who knows that her true strength comes from within ... can't be bought or sold.
A person who is strong and happy ... who knows that her value is greater than the definitions imposed on her by others ... cannot be stopped in her path to know her authentic truth.
So, how does a person go about being strong and happy?
What does that path look like if the world has made you feel weak and you've lost your joy?
To regain your strength and happiness, follow these steps:
Reconnect with your Why. Search inside for what is important to you and what is worth getting out of bed for. Your Why is that thing that makes it so that when times get tough, you simply refuse to give up.
Know what you Value. Our values are focusing tools. Oftentimes we get beat down in life and lose our connection to what sustains us. This can happen because we forget how important it is to live by our values. By clarifying and writing down what you value in life, you will have an easier time deciding whether relationships or decisions align with who you are.
Align with your Why and act according to your Values. Simply by reclaiming who you are, and having to go through the process of sorting what in your life will stay and what will go, develops your strength. Over time, as you get better and better at living according to your values, your happiness will rise to the top. All the relationships and behaviors that do not align with your why and values, will drop away. And in their place, what remains are relationships and habits of behavior that support your authentic self ... the self that you'll be happy to rediscover.
My hope for you is that you stand in your strength ... the strength that is already within you and is waiting for you to acknowledge it. From this place, as you align with your authentic self, you will find your happiness yet again ... and possibly even realize it was there waiting for you the whole time.
